Indigenous Spirit Jewelry honours First Nations’ provincial tax exemptions across Canada.You are eligible if you have a Valid Canadian First Nation's Status Card and meet one of the criteria below:
Live on a First Nation reserve and the goods are being delivered to a Canadian First Nation/reserve address.
OR
Live off-reserve and the goods are being delivered to a Canadian First Nation/reserve address.
How to apply:
Fill out the First Nations Tax Exemption Application form on this webpage (at the bottom for mobile and to the right for desktop).
Email a copy (front and back) of your VALID Canadian First Nation’s Status card to indigenousjewelry@gmail.com. We cannot take status numbers only, we need a copy of your card. If you have a Temporary Confirmation of Registration Document (TCRD), we can only take this if presented for in person shopping (cannot take copies).
What happens next:
Indigenous Spirit Jewelry will review your application.
You will receive an email with a decision on your eligibility, important notes and a rationale if not approved.
If approved, you will receive a code to use at checkout to remove the tax from your order.
Please note:
- Your code only applies to your orders and is not transferable.
- When you order we will cross reference the name on your order with our approved list.
- The payment method name must match the individual approved for the exemption.
- Cannot be applied retroactively.
NOTE * If your name is not on the approved list, we cancel your order and issue you a refund.
Changes in circumstances:
It is your responsibility to report any changes that may impact your eligibility for this exemption. If any such changes occur, you must email indigenousjewelry@gmail.com to have your eligibility reassessed. Failure to do so, may result in undercharges that could be owed to the Government of Canada, Canada Tax Revenue Department.
